Movie Quotes

Movie Quotes – 6.7.2007

If you know me well, then you know that I hardly watch movies or tv at all. That is for many reasons. In any case, for me, I have been watching many movies lately. I watched a movie before I left on this trip and watched both of the movies on one of my flights. I learned a lot from those movies and heard some amazing lines that I’d like to quote here in this blog. May you see beyond the words and gaze at the heart of them!

“And if I perish, I perish.” -- Esther (One Night with the King)

“While we continue onward in the face of a world filled with uncertainty we can rejoice, for hidden within its mysteries is the honor of a king.” -- Mordecai (One Night with the King)

“Do not make void what your own father’s death has purchased.” -- Memucan (One Night with the King)

“Perhaps guilt stirs men too hotly at times, and they seek the salve of the law to ease the burning.” -- Memucan (One Night with the King)

“’Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God. Cry unto Israel that her warfare is finished, that her iniquity is removed. The everlasting neither faints nor is weary. His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and power to the weak. Even the youth shall faint and be weary and young men shall utterly fail, but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Lord, we wait on thee. Renew our strength.’” -- Mordecai (One Night with the King)

“Should I be worried? Oh course not! What good would that do!” -- Wilbur & Charlotte (Charlotte’s Web)

“It’s like a web. You make it. You wait and something happens.” -- Charlotte (Charlotte’s Web)

“We have achieved what we set out to do. We have created a book.” -- Mr. Norman Warne (Miss Potter)

“I say beauty is worth preserving.” -- William Healis (Miss Potter)
